Chaperones for the 2026 Honor Band in the Rose parade need to pay for their trip package, as well as their transportation to/from the event. The Chaperone Package price is $2,450. This package includes hotel room, meals, tickets and transportation to/from all scheduled activities.

As an official chaperone for the 2026 Honor Band in the Rose Parade, you will need to commit to being in Southern California starting at 7:00 pm Friday, December 26, 2025, through noon on Saturday, January 3, 2026. This time commitment is purposefully set before and after the time commitment of the students so that you can help us with the student arrivals and departures. 

Chaperone responsibilities include attending all Honor Band activities, supervising mealtimes and bus rides between rehearsal and performance locations, and nightly room checks. However, there will be significant downtime during the rehearsal blocks. Just because you are AT rehearsal, doesn’t mean you have to be IN the rehearsal! So please feel free to bring a laptop for your regular “day-job” work, read a book, etc. We only ask that you remain in the same facility as the students during these periods to aid the students should an unexpected situation occur.

Chaperones will be housed in the same hotel as the students, unlike the VIP Package. Chaperones will be housed in a double occupancy room, with the option to upgrade to a single room for an additional fee. 

Please complete the application below to be considered. Chaperone applications need to be submitted by March 15 to be considered. After this form submission, your reference listed will be contacted on March 16, and then applicants will receive information to undergo a background check.

All applicants will be notified of their status so you can continue to make plans to be in California with your student.
